The project had the main objective of improving the digital competences and social inclusion of adults in creative industries. This aim has been achieved by creating a sustainable and efficient education program dedicated to adult learners with low digital skills and low-qualified adults who are involved in the creative industries sector. The main outcomes of the project are following: a.) MOOC courses (a course of study made available over the internet without charge to a very large number of people) connected to the Digital Skills and Social Inclusion for Creative Industries, b.) the Integrated Virtual Learning Hub that includes an innovative mobile app aimed at low-skilled and at-risk adults c.) the Digital Skills e-assessment tool and Open Badges for Digital Skills. These outcomes provided new opportunities for low-skilled adults to gain access to knowledge, use new digital skills and inter-cultural competences as well as improve their chances of finding job or performing better in their current employment.

1,200 adult learners were trained online and through blended learning within the frame of the project. Another 25,000 people gained benefit indirectly from the project activities. This target group consists of members of local communities, representatives of the local and regional government, decision makers as well as adult education centers, universities and associations dealing with the improvement of digital skills and competences. All products, tools and materials of DigiCulture available online or mobile apps available.

The project was supported by the EU Erasmus+ Programme in partnership with the Asociatia Timisoara Capitala Culturala Europeana, the Romania Polytechnic University of Timisoara and other participating countries.
