What and how much does the Cohesion Fund covers?

The EU has set itself five specific objectives: to achieve progress in 2020 in the areas of employment, innovation, education, social inclusion and climate and energy policy. In each of these areas, each Member State has set national targets, taking into account local specificities. To achieve these goals, € 351.8 billion has been earmarked for the period 2014-2020 – almost one third of the total EU budget.
